Our scholarships celebrate academic excellence as well as achievements in sport, music, culture, and the arts. They focus on promoting social inclusion, leadership, equity, and are designed to support students who may experience barriers to accessing tertiary education.

Dunmore Lang College Entry Scholarships

Dunmore Lang College and the Country Education Foundation Scholarships 

Dunmore Lang College and the Country Education Foundation Scholarship – this scholarship is administered by the Country Education Foundation and provides a 50% discount on student accommodation costs for a rural student beginning their degree in 2026.  Further information about this scholarship can be found on their website.


Macquarie University Advantage Accommodation Scholarship (Dunmore Lang College)

The Macquarie Advantage Accommodation Scholarship (Dunmore Lang College) covers the cost of a standard room at the College, including accommodation and all meals for up to four years of your study. 

Criteria

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be an Australian citizen, or the holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa
  • Be a commencing Full-Time student in an undergraduate degree at Macquarie University in Session 1 2026
  • Be a current school leaver, or graduate of the previous year who have not undertaken any tertiary study in their gap year
  • Have demonstrated financial need via submission of a UAC Equity Scholarship application
  • Have applied for a place at Dunmore Lang College
  • Be from a regional and remote area
  • Be able to demonstrate leadership qualities/potential through commitment to community service and/or extra-curricular activitie
  • Fixed places are available for Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students

Dunmore Lang College Returning Student Scholarships

Dunmore Lang College also provides ongoing support and recognition of students, their needs, successes, and achievements.  The following scholarships are awarded annually, and students are invited to apply through an internal application process.    

  • Dorothy Knox Bursaries  – are based on the primary criteria of financial need and academic progress.

  • Margaret Saville Award – Students are invited to self-nominate or nominate a fellow resident for this award in Semester Two prior to the Valedictory Celebration.  It is awarded based on service to the College.

  • John Dunmore Lang Senior Scholar award - recognises the contribution of a senior student to the life and community of Dunmore Lang College as well as their potential to contribute to the wider community in their future professional career and community service.

  • Dunmore Lang College Academic Awards – recognises the highest academic achievement of a DLC student in each of the four faculties at Macquarie University.

  • Dean Frost Memorial Prize – is awarded to the student with the highest academic results overall.

  • Rotary Club of North Ryde Scholarship – is awarded to a returning student at the beginning of the year whose degree has an international focus.

  • GradReady GAMSAT Principal’s Scholarship – each year one prospective medical student is recommended for the GradReady GAMSAT Attendance Course, which supports their preparation for the GAMSAT.  Further details about the course can be found here.
